These tissues are representative from the Misak indigenous community. The Misak are an original American indigenous who lives in the south of Colombia in the department of Cauca. Over the years the Misak have developed different knit techniques with the main objective of achieving their clothing needs. In collaboration with the Mama Elizabeth, the cabildo of her community, we learned the ancestral tissue of her community with the aim to rescue this knowledge and to understand from the respect with respect all the meaning and process that these fabrics have.
